This Privacy Policy describes how KotlinVPN ("we", "us", or "our service") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when using our VPN services ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and support our Service. Specifically:

  • Telegram Data: Telegram ID and Telegram Username (if available).
  • Email Address: Used for sending legally required receipts and for account communication.
  • Google Account Information: If you choose to sign in via Google, we collect your Google ID and email address to authenticate your account.

Note: We do not collect or store credit card data or other sensitive payment information. All payments are processed via our third-party provider, YooKassa.

2. Google API Disclosure (Limited Use)

KotlinVPN's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Service User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We only use Google data to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the user interface.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties other than as necessary to provide or improve our features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger/acquisition.
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.

3. How We Use Your Information

The collected data is used exclusively for:

  • Account creation and authentication (via Telegram or Google).
  • Processing payments and managing subscriptions.
  • Sending legally required tax receipts.
  • Providing customer support and communicating regarding Service updates.

4. iOS App & Network Extension

The KotlinVPN iOS application uses Apple's Network Extension framework solely to establish a VPN tunnel on your device. With regard to this functionality:

  • We do not intercept, log, monitor, or store any traffic passing through the VPN tunnel, including browsing history, connection destinations, data content, or DNS queries.
  • The VPN configuration permission is requested explicitly from the user and is used exclusively for routing device traffic through the VPN tunnel.
  • No data collected via the Network Extension is shared with third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We utilize the following third-party services:

  • Telegram Bot API: For bot functionality and interaction.
  • YooKassa: For secure payment processing.
  • Google OAuth: For secure user authentication.

6. Data Storage and Protection

Your personal information is stored in isolated and secure environments. We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.

8. Information Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information only if required by law or official government authorities.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at or intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it.

10. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Revoke Google API access via your Google Security Settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
